HWC Returns from Vegas with Four Qualifiers for the World Team Trials

Chris Dardanes competed in the Men's Freestyle competition at 61kg. Chris' first match up was against Daniel Deshazer from Minnesota Storm. He had a 6-5 loss. In the consolation, he wrestled Joey Lazor from Panther Wrestling Club RTC and he won 12-9. The next match up in the consolation round was against Jordan Conaway from the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club where he had an 8-6 victory. He went on to wrestle Johnni DiJulius from TMWC and won a solid match 13-2. Next up, he werstled Seth Gross from Jackrabbit Wrestling Club and lost 4-2. He finished up taking seventh place with a 9-0 victory against Daniel Deshazer again. Chris qualified for the World Team Trials in June.

Nick Dardanes competed in the Men's Freestyle competition at 65kg. Nick's first victory was in the round of sixteen against Anthony Abidin from Valley RTC where he won by technical fall 10-0. He went on the wrestle Zain Retherford from Nittany Lion Wrestling Club and fell by technical fall 10-0. Nick went on to wrestle Jaydin Eirman from Missouri Wrestling Foundation and won 17-6. He wrestled Kellen Russell from NYAC and fell 4-2. Finally, he wrestled for seventh place against Mario Mason (Lehigh Valley Wrestling Club) and won 13-5 for seventh place. He qualified for Licoln, Nebraska in June as well. 

Nathan Burak competed in the Men's Freestyle competion at 97kg. In the round of sixteen, Nathan won by technical fall against Mark Penyacsek from Road Runner. Next, he wrestled Blaze Cabell from Valley RTC and had a 6-2 victory. He advanced to the semi-finals where he wrestled Kyven Gadson from Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club and lost 11-1. He went on and faced Ty Walz and claimed victory 6-2, putting him into the third place bout. There, he wrestled Nikko Reyes and he won 11-2 to take third place and punch his ticket to Nebraska in June. 

Bobby Telford competed in the Men's Freestyle competition at 125kg. Bobby's first match was against Kyle Courtier where he won by technical fall. He went on to wrestle Nick Gwiazdowski from TMWC and he fell 4-1. Jordan Karst from Wolverine Wrestling Club was his next match and he claimed a 12-2 victory there. Next, he wrestled Nathan Butler from Stanford-California RTC and won by technical fall 10-0. Bobby wrestled Anthony Nelson (TMWC) to punch his ticket to the third place match. He won 4-2. Lastly, for third place, Bobby wrestled Dominique Bradley from Sunkist Kids Wrestling Club and he lost a close match 2-1 landing him in fourth place. He will also be going to Nebraska in June.
