Pledge now for the Arctic Plunge

If you've ever wanted to tell Hawkeye football coach Kirk Ferentz — or any of the Hawkeye wrestling coaches or HWC wrestlers — to go jump in a lake, we've got a great deal for you! But time's running out for you to be a part of a great HWC fund-raising event.

The 2012 HWC Arctic Plunge will take place at Saturday, January 28, at the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort in Riverside, Iowa. Among the celebrity plungers scheduled to leap into the pond are Levar Woods, Chris Doyle, Charlie Bullen, and Dave Raih from the Iowa football coaching staff, Hawkeye wrestling coaches Tom & Terry Brands, and all of the Hawkeye Wrestling Club guys: Daniel Dennis, Mike Zadick, Brent Metcalf, Lloyd Rogers, Phil Keddy, and Luke Lofthouse. All proceeds go to the Hawkeye Wrestling Club to support our future Olympians.

It's easy for you to get in on the action: Go to the pledge page and make a donation to support one of the celebrity plungers already signed up. The plunger who collects the most pledge money will make the jump wearing a stylish pink tutu!

Once you've made your pledge, make plans to join us in Riverside on Saturday to cheer on the plungers. We'll have free hot cocoa, tea, coffee and cider for everyone. The plunging will begin around noon. Once you get close to the casino, follow the signs. The plunge will take place on the pond across the road south of the casino.
